Unit Goals In this unit you will learn about:
  1. Singular and plural of nouns
    "Mary has only one pen, but Mike has many pens."

  2. Endings for plural of nouns
    "peach-->peaches, road-->roads, lady-->ladies"

  3. Irregular plural of nouns
    "man-->men, woman-->women"

  4. Different types of pronouns
    "any, some, something, nobody,someone, etc."

  5. Reflexive pronouns
    "She cut herself."


Grammar Notes
  1. To make most nouns plural, simply add -s

  2. Add -es if the noun end in ch, sh, s, and x

  3. There are irregular plural nouns such as wife-wives, child-children, fish-fish, sheep-sheep

  4. Use personal pronouns( he, we, them) instead of repeating nouns phrases that refer to specific people or things. For example: I gave the letter to Robert-->I gave it to him

  5. Indefinite pronounce (anybody, someone, etc.) refer to people or things. The verb that follows them is usually in its singular form e.g. Everybody is happy tonight.
