- The simple present tense is often used to describe habits--things you do again and again--and routines and schedules.
- The simple present tense is used to state a general fact e.g. Raisins come from grapes.
- The present continuous describes an activity in progress or a situation we expect to change.
- Modal auxiliaries such as may, may not, must, must not, can't, etc. can be used to draw conclusions.
